Members of the local community told us they were concerned about e-bikes & Nuisance vehicles in the Borden and Grove Park, Homewood & Chalkwell areas, causing risk to pedestrians and other road users.

✅ We Did

On Friday 1 May 2026, officers from the Swale Beat Team were patrolling the area when PC Atherton and PC Boosey sighted two juveniles riding homemade e-bikes.

Immediate contact was made with Swale CCTV Control Room, who successfully tracked the riders as they travelled towards the town centre (Chalkwell & Homewood) .

With the assistance of officers from the Swale Neighbourhood Task Force, PC Farrow and PC Steer, a quick coordinated response was put in place to safely contain and detain both riders.

Both e-bikes were seized for no insurance, removing them from the streets and reducing the risk to the public.
